If your parents can afford a Black headed python that would be my choice. They are usually very placid and look awesome. Normally females grow to around 9ft but if you buy a hatchling the python will only be around 6-7ft when you are ready to leave home, lol.

Talking rooster

I think mails are smaller than females generally. So why not a male diamond...
Check with the experts but i beleive this would put you at a max of about 2 meters.
And if your in Sydney or there abouts its the perfect climate for them they can even be kept outside.
Also it take several years to get to full sixe which is somewhat dependent on your feeding.

How about a Bredli or a Diamond. They are a gorgeous animals with exellence temperaments.

To choose from a snake that is under 2 meters isn't a hard task as there a quite a few species that would fit that category.

Perhaps a Jungle would suit you as a beautiful display animal. They can be a bit bitey though, so that depends if you want an animal for a display or, one to be more interactive with.

if you cant have a python that is over two meters and you already have a spotted, there is only four choices-
1. childrens
2. stimson
3. GTP
4. RSP
oh and if you can get your hands on a pygmy. everything eles grows over 2 meters. A woma is close to 2 meters but averages out to 2.3 meters.
