After my RBBS bite me causing me to take 2 weeks off work due to further complications, my wife has stated that she is no longer comfortable having little Otis in the house. She doesnt even want me to go for my snake catchers licence now. I respect and love my wife dearly and understand where she is coming from. I suffer with a bad liver as it is and other health issues, being bitten again by any venomous snake could cause me more problems than the average person - or worse. At least I can keep my MD and replace Otis with another python - I've really got so attached to little Otis as well. He was really starting to interact and feel comfortable with daily handling.GC |

Your wife abviously has yours and the families best interests at heart. I have been talking recently with my wife about getting RBBS. Good luck with the python breeding. I think it could be just as rewarding for you in its own right. |

Good luck with the breeding plans for pythons, now that will be rewarding in itself.

You know you want to keep him The decision is really only yours to make (or your wife's hehehe) Good luck on whatever road you wish to wander down |

...she also LOVES the look of RBB and Colletts - however - absolutely out of the question when I bring up keeping them...
...I see it as a fair compromise - she was never comfortable with them to begin with but let me get into reptiles - least I can do is give her a break when it comes to having Vens in the house...
