Of note, These are captive bred locale specific specimens from Warrambie station 20 km north of Roebourne in the PIlbara.

i let my nt carpet take her eggs for half the incubation had to remove them because i was worried about too high temps during the build up 33+ she is starting to get back in condition already after 3 good feeds , i think as you say thet if it is set up correctly there should be no problems and yeah mate spoilt, they are pretty nice stimmys.

To higher temperatures are a bit of a headache and that’s why you need to have them in an air conditioned room. I then set a thermometer probe right amongst the eggs and bring up the temperature accordingly. To ensure decent humidity levels a water dish with a large surface placed directly under the heat source (in my case heat lamp) will do the trick.
I also block off much of the existing cage ventilation as I do not want to loose too much of the humidity before it gets into the foam box. You could easily devise a more professional way of setting this up but as I have had plenty of success with this grass roots way of doing it, I haven’t yet found the need.
