Great success , hatched 11 cuties over 18 - 21 of Dec . One held out a bit . Mum took a small rat or three while on the eggs so she didnt lose condition . One of the hatchies [ now known as killer ] bit me and my daughter , and drew blood , in the first 24 hrs and ate on day 2 . Will post pics soon , Kids have downloaded so much animae that l cant upload pics till next billing cycle . |

Is there a culture of "stud animals" in herpetology? (NO! I don't mean all you macho male snake owners - I mean stud snakes... ) ie if I had a female and was looking to breed but I didn't want to keep a pair, could I ask around for a male to mate with my female? |

The mum is classic Darwin but the Dad is a bright golden colour . Too early to tell with the bubs , at the moment they all look like little Womas with wide heads , red and tan with dark red stripes . Pity that wont last . | |
