Hey people... took some nice shots this weekend, I particularly like these ones... Snakes are so hard to take photos of close up - some are in focus and then other parts of them are out of focus... silly snakes...
hehe...
Anyways, Peyote on show.. very photogenic little girl she is... I just love photographing her... For those interested - it's not an SLR it's a Olympus C740 UZ
Oh how I wished they still made them!
Photos resized for the net.... Hoper you like em!
(ps - not sure I like having to resize my pics below 100kb, but if I have to... I have to... the same photos and more are located at my spaces site which are higher (slighlty) in quality)
Cheers
SLiM

Wow, thanks for the comments... She really has wonderful markings... Those photos don't show it.... but her spots aren't brown as I thought, they're in fact blue... looking at her in the sunlight she's green and blue!!! I couldn't believe my eyes either. Her sisters and brothers are all equally gorgous. But she really was special...

Mac??? Is that what you call Spotted's??? Sorry, not up with the play... the breeder also gave me rather different species names compared to what i had considered... I don't have my snake license book here - but I will put the species name in later... So update me on Mac.... Thanks!

Very nice mac. Also now you can put LARGER photos in. look at the limit when you go to attach photos its like 700 kb now. Lots better.

Beautiful python slim, can you tell me about your experiences with the Children's Python. My husband and I are thinking of getting his 6yr old daughter one next year for her birthday or Xmas. Just wondering if they're a calm and gentle snake or if they can get a bit nervous and snappy?

Ahhh... hehe.. they're beautiful... but watch you don't get a bad egg... Don't think I would get one for a 6 year old daughter... as I have a 6 year old daughter... But, snakes still do tend to be a little bit less affectionate than kittens
If your daughter loves reptiles - then maybe...
Peyote is a good snake, wouldn't bite a fly (but does tend to devour mice rather frighteningly - that might scare a 6 year old).
I really don't know... so I have a 6 year old, but she leaves Peyote well alone unless I am there then that's fine.
The bite from a spotted or childrens won't hurt you while they're young. And typically they're lazy anyway.
Other people with more experience would give better advice. But it's lucj of the draw im afraid. I have heard of good pythons turning bad and bad pythons turning good.
No help I guess... hehe

Thanks for the advice. Trust me though a kitten is out of the question, we already have 3 cats . She does love reptiles we have 4 pythons at the moment, 1 Coastal Proserpine Carpet and 3 Black and gold Jungle Juvies. We were looking at the Children's (or Mac's) for her mainly for their adult size, we wanted an enclosure that would fit into her room and a snake that wouldn't out grow her. We also wanted a pet for her that wouldn't be high maintenance, since he has shared residence of her and she wouldn't always be here. Once again beatiful snakes you have there. And Thanks again
