hey yeh pictures would help, some pple will sterilize logs and branches, drift wood makes great maze like branches and platforms... i usually don't worry too much about it, although the logs i use get scrubbed relatively often and are long dead. the only problem is really parrasites from outside, maby mites those kind of things. just maby give them a good scrub before using them. even a bit of disinfectant or something... amd they need a couple of good rocks. make a little cave with rocks and they'll love it... mine do, lol. hope this helps.
cheers
Martyn

Smaller ones can be put in the oven for 30 minutes at about 110 or something. That's what we did with ours to kill anything that might have found it's way in. This could be a problem with bigger ones! Unless you have one big mean looking oven!
Actually i am interested on the best places to look for nice forked sticks. The ones i find seem to be sharp and not really nice and thick.
