Hi
I am pretty new to the world of reptiles and i am looking to get my first python i want something that is bright in colour something like the albino species with the yellow and whites. I was looking at one type of python but to my disapointment the jaguar carpet python is not an australian native and requires illegal attention that i don't want. But I was wondering if anyone out there can help me with python names and help me choose a python to my liking plz help. Thank You.

welcome mate! if you like yellows and whites go for a jungle python or a 'high yellow' diamond python. both are great looking snakes! If you can afford it get a green tree python. they go through several color phazes and would have to one of Australias must stunning snakes. A little pricey though!

Thats an example on how much you will have to spend to get one of these gorgouse animals. unfortunitly there is no australian jaggs ready for selling in australian yet give that anywhere from 2-5 years time and then there not that cheap eather, also there is B&W Jungles they are just stunning at a additional $3000 each. and then you have B&W Cape yorks which are very goegous as well, (not sure on price for them but there not cheap) or you could always for for a high colour Jungle from $450 - 700 per pair from Jungle Freak on here, the more colour and there more brighter the animal the more you will be paying in the long run. also there is the Green Tree Python at $9000 or close to it. There is BHP at $700 - 1200. each Woma's from $700 - 3000, thats all I can think of so far maybe other people can let you in on more stunners.
cheers Jody

i'd suggest you stay away from jungles as your first snake unless you like the feeling of being biten a million times lol..... but yes a high yellow diamond would be a good first snake.... as for albinos unfortunately there arent really that many around and your looking at huge bucks like 5-10k+.....
Good luck on your search..... i think a bredli is the best first snake

Check out Roy Pails in Ballarat if you don't mind the drive. He has loads of awesome snakes and can fill you in with heaps of info. I'd recommend a diamond as a first python.
Good luck!

dimonds are a great python for the cold climates they love the cold temps.
but if you want something very stunning have a look on the site at the B&W jungles and B&W cape yorks, black headed pythons, jungles (there not all agro it depends where you buy them from but I'm not sure how they would go in the cooler climates.
I'm not sure but you may be able to get a Bumble Bee Black headed Python down there. is that true or not? do you have a licence yet as well if not talk to your local Parks and wild life and they will have a list of snakes you can get on that licence.
cheers Jody
