Odd snake skin in garden

Hey everybody i have an interesting question for you...

When my partners parents chopped down their tree in their rainforest garden they found 3 big, but not complete, snake skins. No massive surprise. However... on boxing day they found a full snake skin hanging over their pagola kind of thing. It's well over 2 metres. We finally tonight took it to my friends house who was looking through his books trying to identify it. He had at first guessed Coastal Carpet but the head scales seem to imply otherwise. They're much bigger, and match exactly with what a Scrubby shed should look like.

But we don't get Scrubby's natively in Townsville (apparently). Then again anything's possible.... What do you guys all reckon? I don't know if any of you know much about the Townsville area and snakes but if anyone does i'd be interested to know what you think (ie. is it possible to get a scrubby in this area and what other similar local snakes it could be with a head and scale pattern being scrub-like in the shed). I'm sorry i don't have any pics to post but if i can get some tomorrow i'll do it and post them.

Just got home from their place and am still curious so thought i'd see what you people thought.

Check the head scale pattern to a good book, and you should be able to get a ID.

But if they have large shield like head scales like a scrubby, could be a Brown Tree Snake.

If you can get your hand on another shed or still have one, scan it onto your computer, and post it up.

Not unusual for a BTS to be 6-7', add in the extra length of the shed skin and the skin is well over 2m.

Are the dorsal scales larger than the rest? If so it's a brown tree.

Here are some pics i attempted to take of the head. The quality is pretty poor. I tried taking it against some different surfaces and these were the best ones. The body is quite thin it seems. But yeah the head scales are quite broad as you shall see... now. Once again i apologise for the photo quality. But congrats to those of you who can tell. But can you see how it could easily look like a scrubby?
