It is way to small to be a chicken egg. Small bird egg maybe - budgie?

they are great pics,never seen that befor.
did it take long for them to start takeing eggs,and how meny would they eat at one time.

Any more details then sdaji ?? Ive seen a baby corn snake eat a cricket ! Which was very weird! (Sorry don't have pics though!)
Perhaps snakes are slightly more opportunist feeders than some think! :wink:

zen: neither had I until I had a go

it's a protein and fat filled egg enclosed in a calcium rich shell ("don't ask" ) No, it's not a chicken egg, no, it's not the childreni egg Magpie is talking about (incidentally, the picture was taken before that egg came out of the snake).

krusty: it took about a sixteenth of a second, I haven't tried offering more than one egg in one feed.
