Hi,

Just thought I would post a few pic's of one of my Olive Pythons(Kong). This one is a male around 15 years old. He is around 3.5 metres(11ft), just short of Tims girl, and a little bit slimmer as I keep all my males that way for mating.

I just weighed him in at 10kg's or 22lbs. Tims is definately heavier than Kong, but does not look 3.5 times heavier. Maybe Tim meant 35lbs, not Kg's.

However Tims is still the largest female I have seen, and equal to the second longest Olive I have ever witnessed. Featherdale in Sydney had a 12 ft male for years, the same size as Tims, but the biggest I ever saw was owned by Fritz Martin and Andy Robinson at the Monbulk Zoo in Victoria. That monster was 13ft on the nose, and I did confirm that measurement myself.

Hi Bigguy,

I garantee that our olive here is 3.8 meters long and is 35kg
not 35lbs.

I would not make a mistake like that when weighing it on the bathroom scales in a large bin and measuring with a long peace of string I am more professional than that I can a sure you.

I am more than happy to have anyone give me a ring here in SA and make a time to come over, bring your own scales if you wish and tape messure, if anyone is doubting what I have posted.
I am more than happy to back it up.

Ashley,

An average size female(9ft) will drop around 20 eggs(+ or -) a few. A girl as big as Tims could possably drop between 25 to 30 eggs with ease.

Hey Bob, I grew up in Monbulk/Olinda and never even knew there was a zoo at Monbulk! How long has it been going? I'm going back for a visit at Christmas, so will definitely check it out!

Ricko,

I haven't heard of Fritz or Andy for over 15 years. I wonder what happened to them. As for their Olive, It was a monster, the biggest I have ever seen anywhere at 13 feet.

People all over the place tell you their Olives are bigger then they really are. I am often told of people who have 12 to 14 ft Olives, but when you look at them they are more like 8 to 9 feet.

The second longest snake I ever owned was a 17 ft Srub Python who was easily as thick as an average mans thigh, yet it only weighed 60lbs(27Kgs)
