Check Wiki, I think there is a caresheet on there, for olives. I guess one thing to consider is that they can get quite big so a large cage will eventually be a neccesity. Otherwise, fantastic snakes, gorgeous to look at and generally (no promises ) are quite placid. I LOVE EM. I put a couple of pics below, most have seen em, but for those who haven't, enjoy! (the first is not one of mine, hubby took this pic at the local zoo)

This was a mates of mine up here and they've got 2 others there hudge expecailly the female they just have them together in a long enclosure this a big water dish and a hide with something to climb on and there perfectly fine just remember that you need very strong glass they lent on the glass from the first cage and it smashed.
this boy is 3.5years old and 7.5 fool long gorgous nature, some are very agressive and others are very nice to handle. I'd probably suguest buying a hatchy cause adults are huge and if one of them bite you for the first time I would go off liking snakes for a long time, if it was my first snake but the size of there mouth gosh. get use to it with a very tiny head and once it is an adult it shouldn't bite at all.
sorry If I scared you but its better you to know these things ha.
cheers Jody

yeah but by the time they get that big you would have plenty of time to do more research and be well an truely ready to keep it, it would take a nuber of years before it reaches that big and you are able to slow its growth down by feeding it like once a month once it get to an adult it way take about 10 years or so till its that size. so you don't have to really worry about that. its not that hard to keep them I'll show the cage they had this fella in and it is hudge the enclosure it self I recon is too big for this olive its about twice the size of the enclosure they have the 9foot olives in and there is 2 in that.
cheers jody

hi, i've had my baby girl for a few months now ad you're right, they do grow bloody fast. she's getting huge. i just keep her like any of my other snakes, except feed her more. i agree with the others, u gotta get emyoung. mine used to be a bit snappy, but now she's just a big softy. she even curls up on my tummy when i'm watching the footy. just be careful around them if they;re hungry, they can go a bit frantic. good luck,
cheers

Nagsz,
That's hilarious that your olive curls up on you while you're watching the footy.
I couldn't get my olive to curl up on me if I sedated him- he's ALWAYS on the move!
Olives are the BOMB! Of all my snakes, he is DEFINITELY my favorite!
