|  | Sponsor | Join Date: Jan-05 Location: western suburbs of sydney Gender:  | | | Hi all.Shane here from shanesaussie_pythons.The season started of well with good cold tempretures for the first week or so with nice gradual drops in night time temps.Then we got that weird week were days and nightsjumped up and down.Not ideal when trying to cool(Not to worry)other than that the season is progressing well.Day time temps in the sydney area are around anywere between 24 to say 26 and nights are getting down to around 18 to 20 these are indoor tempretures so i supose most keepers would have there animals half way down into cooling still away to go untill they are at there winter lows.speaking to other sydney siders reports are that all there animals are handleing it fine with little or no signs of respitory trouble(But its stiil early yet so dont count chickens yet)On the other hand.A good sign reported by most sydney keepers is that males are on the move early this season and thats always a good sign for the breeding seasonAfter a quick check of a couple of males and checking samples under the microscope.Gonads are swelling and sperm counts are riseing.For those that may need to double up animals while cleaning.Beware males will combat this early in the season.You dont want to chance putting that good stud male out of commission through injury.Just watching 5 of my adult male BHPs all danceing around like sincronized swimmers.Agonistic behaviour isnt it grand?aussie_pythons signing off with this thuaght (may all your females ovulate and may all your clutches be huge) regards SHANE |
