Gosh there a beautiful snake, I had one decide to hang out right at my front door a few days ago & i'd never really payed much attention to them but this guy was an absolute stunner & very cranky. If I even tried to slide the door open he would rear up at me Can anyone tell me if their usually so defensive? Great pic Brigsy

Yeah the RBB's are certainly out and about....

On our Trip from Brissy to Sydney... They were the only two snakes I saw on the side of the Road... First was Cactus and had been for sometime... About 3.5 ft.

2nd was in the Middle of the road... Approx 4ft. It had dragged itself a couple of metres from where it had been run over... Guts and Blood everywhere...though it was still alive.... I dragged it off to the side of the road and put it out of its misery. Much to my wife's horror ( she was scared I would be bitten), and shocked I had my Snake hook in the car.

don't we all keep hooks in the car ? One lives in every car I have.
RBBS in the wild can arc up pretty well, in captivity they tend to settle quickly. I have heard of more than one person being caught out when they go to move their 1st wild one.

Yeah Kensai.... The RBB that I pulled off the Road...I was obviously very Cautious in moving it...But when I did... It didnt have too much life in it... Enough to try and move off the road..But not enough to strike... Poor Bugger.....

Yeah I want to set up a few more things in my 4x4... Pillowcases... Blankets Couple of Small Enclosures etc for Rescue type purposes....
