| | | Hi to all, I have come up with an idea for a great subtrate for the bottom of my Maccie encloure .Local paperbark ,there is a huge paperbark swamp close to where I live and I have used small peices to cover the bottom of my enclosure. It is Natural and costs nothing and i think it is a great idea,my snake certainly seems to be happy with it .Most of it is usually already hanging of the lower trunks of the trees anyway so there is really no damage at these trees and it is a great natural alternative. I guess some people may spew at the this idea "Greenies etc" but I dont really give a stuff, let me know what you all think....

I usually scrub my stuff clean then let it soak for a day do 2 then leave it out to dry for a few days.
As i said not everyone would do it that way but thas what i do.

With other branches, I bake if possible, treat with top of decent and varnishing is good too. Makes cleaning easier and redces the ability of mites to hide in the branch in the case of mite infestation..
