RE: Pic of psycho, hypo coastal.

hypo means reduced black in short. And well the pic doesnt do him any justice.

i do think he is hypo, because he doesnt have alot of black on him.

As with all silly names, hypo is quite subjective, but I would say it has less dark areas than coastals I've had, so I would agree with the hypo tag. Perhaps even super pastel tiger starburst??

mate it looks the smae as mine. When they are that young they always have less black pigment and often look hypo. If you wanna see a hypo, look at the other coastal thread that is up at the moment and look at trueblue's coastal.
It is a beautiful snake, and as i said looks similar to mine, but it will get more black as it ages.

Thanks for your opinion, but i dont think it looks like yours. and yes i have seen TB's snake which seems to have NO black. Hypo just means reduced black.

Cheers
Emz

how old is it? i think that you'll find the black rings around the lighter splotches thicken with each shed.

It's a nice looking little snake but not hypo. A large % of coastals can look like hypos when small but soon develop more and more black.
That doesn't detract from the snake itself though.
