Yes they are and I should say it wasn't meant as a critisicm of the other Woma just that it was posted in a thread about Topaz Womas.

you need a 'special' license to keep more than 2 Womas
***??

i'm getting two pairs of womas (1 pair topaz, 1 pair tanami) and i don't have any 'special license'

are you talking about the 'reptile specialist' license? if so, anyone know more details on how to aquire it, and the cost.

Azztech, you can't own 4 womas unless you have a specialist rec lic in Qld. You can only own 2 on a normal rec lic. Call Ecoaccess on 1300368326 and they will set you in the right direction.

Also on the Topaz, a few were sold years ago, before it was realised that they were something different, so there are probably some older topaz womas out there and their owners don't even know it!

Yes if you want more than 2 you must get a 'restricted' license. Now depending on who you listen to it can be easy or very hard to get. I found it easy, you need to get a couple of references from known keepers and pay another I think $150.
You could ignore it and take your chances but from what I gather it isn't worth it.

hell no... those buggers would fine their own mothers.

Is this the same as a ven license? as i've been meaning to get it also, seeing my love for death adders and all. already have the references if thats the case.

Hey Nev, that looks like one of Tristis's magnificent pin striped jobbies if I'm not mistaken. Easily the equal of the topazez if you ask me.
I got to wait a few more days to get my little topazez - it's killin me!
