pinky mice to pinky rats?????

I have an Atherton Tablelands Python. He is 4 and a half months old and about 40cm long (and very thin). He has been feeding well on pinky mice eating them in about 5 minutes. I went to buy more but the pet shop was out. They had no fuzzies either. The next smallest size they had was pinky rats. I've bought some but I'm worried they'll be too big. If they're too big will he refuse to eat??? There are other pet shops I can try. What would you recommend?

Lesa - A hatchling Atherton would be able to manage a pinky rat comfortably...your boy will manage VERY easily...

If they are too big he won't eat them - I can guarantee he will eat them fine
