Try getting a towel and soaking it in warm water then wrap the snake up in it gently or try soaking the snake in warm water warm enough that it wont burn the snake....

there has been numerous posts on this you should do a search, did you see the classic signs of coming into shed in the big one? you havent said whether or not the eyes went milky and then clear or how long ago. butif he is rubbing himself on you he cant be to comfortable. the basic for shedding problems, is first get the skin off and then work out why he had the problem and fix that before the next shed. so the best way in my opinion is to soak him in luke warm water for about 15 mins thrre times daily, and keep him warm when not soaking, after each soak damp a towl and put him in it and let him slither his way out do this a few times but dont be to rough as takign the skin off forcably can do a lot of damage. it can be a bit of a process, but if you search the other threads there will be a very wide variety of methods choose one you feel comfortable with and try it if you dont feel comfortable take it to the vet and let them do it.

cheers
H.

Warm water won't really make any difference, the snake has spent considerable time in water already and using the term 'warm' runs the risk of having a snake overheated. One persons 'warm', is another persons 'hot' and is a not tolerable to a snake, this can be fatal or neurologically damaging

Using a damp towel, or placing branches and rocks in the enclosure with it is a good move, it allows the snake something to rub against and helps it to start the shed process.

'Starting' the shed process isn't usually difficult for a snake. The water and rubbing may be due to something other than shedding, like mites.

Where are you daza ? Perhaps we can find someone nearby that can take a look at your little snake.

well i guess i could be more specific and say water at 28-32 degrees, and i say this because the snake will tolerate the soaking a lot better if it is at that temp rather then shoveing it into cold water from the tap, not because it will help the shedding process.

The two snakes won't necessarily shed at the same rate, I wouldn't even put it down to that even if one has shed three or four times and the other hasn't shed at all! (example only).

Maybe look for other possibilities? Mites etc

thats what I was thinking. It wont hurt to give both snakes (and enclosures) a go with TOD. Is there a branch with some rough bits on it or a rock etc in the enclosure that the snake can use to rub against to start the shed? Have you got any pics of this animal? When was the last time it actually (confirmed) shed properly without any complications?

I presume from the person that sold it to you that alone should tell you theres probably been an ongoing problem with this animal (imo) If the seller mentioned this shedding 'problem'
