Very nice looking Port Mac! The black and yellow contrast is striking.

I saw a intergrade at Barrington Tops early this year. It was about 95%yellow, and brighter then any Diamond I had ever seen in my lifetime, and it was well over 8 feet long. The bad news a car had just hit it a few minutes before I found it on the road.

People often rubbish these snakes, but they can be stunning in colour and are hardier to keep then Diamonds. Definatley a worthy addittion to ones collection.

nice banding vixen. bigguy, i decided on my portmac for those reasons for sure, i was thinking of getting a diamond, but decided on the portmac to avoid uv issues. i think i made a wise choice. in saying that my guy gets some uv on our balcony when we are inclined and also there in a small uv tube over his enclosure now. but only because it was off one of my old aquariums.

Intergrades may not be as depended on UV as Diamonds, but it definately will not hurt them in any way. If fact they would probably benifit from it even though I have nothing to base that on. Look forward to seeing their adult colouration.

yeah i agree bigguy, won't be doing him any harm. i have a friend who's bredli never sees uv and i think he is quite bland compared to when i used to look after him (with uv) it may be a age thing tho.
