hey guys, got a little diamond who i've just noticed is exhaling rather loudly, no loss of bodyweight, no mucus or bubbleing etc and going to take her to the vet just to make sure shes ok, but my question i suppose is has anyone experienced heavy exhaling before in diamonds and it turned out to be nothing?

Heavy exhaling is something my pythons do quite a lot, but usually only when they are trying to tell me to leave them alone. Its good to get the vet's opinion but if his breath isn't wheezy or slobbery I am would be hopeful that there is nothing to worry about.

yea i'm starting to think its just her talkin to me lol She a very placid snake, I've heard some of my other snakes exhale there air quickly to hiss but it's usually only with my agressive/scared pythons. She definately seems to do it a fair bit but its not every breath and her tongue is rapid and perfectly forked, I've quarantined her for now and keeping a close eye on her for the next few days.
