Is there any length of time you should wait before handling or feeding a snake that has just shed?Just something I've wondered about.

|  | Regular Member | Join Date: Jan-03 Location: Country NSW | | | | From little knowledge I know it is ok to handle after shedding. After the snake sheds you need to handle it to see that it shed cleanly.
As with feeding, the snake will eat when ready so try it with food.

| | Seller | Join Date: Jan-03 Location: Sydney | | | After shedding, you can handle your snake straight away and as just pointed out by Glenn, it is a good idea to check, especially, if it wasn’t a clean shed by any chance.
As far as feeding, generally snakes seem to be hungry after shedding.
