Post shed feed

My snake just shed and has been 3 weeks since last feed, her last feed was a 3.5 inch young rat. She took that no worries and was looking for more. The did not have any that small for a few weeks, so got the smallest that they had, about6-7 inches long, I will offer her the feed and see. She is 3+ feet long, I dont usually feed this big, but she has been looking around for food. Any opinions on this size feed?

Hard to say...depends on head size and age as well as length of your snake...I have a 3 foot jungle approx 5 1/2 years old which will eat a rat 3 times the size of a rat that a 2 1/2 to 3 ft yearling will eat....

I take it you mean the 5 1/2 y.o 3 footer......He is full grown at 3 ft and eats both mice and rats....he mucks around with them for a while but never knocks back a feed..Some jungles are just really small........
