pre-lay shed?

g'day,
I think my scrub is gravid and would like to know about how many days after the pre-lay shed to expect her to lay eggs?
cheers.

Congrats Whitey, wish my two would pull their fingers out and do something

Not sure about the Scrubbies but my Colletts are usually around the 10 to 14 day mark.

I have been out bush for the last month and i noticed she was a little fatter than usaul before i left. My missus told me she shed just over a week ago and last night i fed her a small rat and seen her massive gut.
she's been living with slayer in the outdoor enclosure since march, so they must of been busy the last couple months.

Pythons Of the world Vol1 says average is about 31 days but ranges from studies done were 28-35 days from prelay shed to egg deposition

Dont mean to burst your bubble mate but i think it is a bit early for a scrubby to be gravid...
She most probably has mature follicles thus giving the gravid appearance so just keep the male in there or she may re-absorb if she doesn't have adequate matings etc.
Sounds like things are on the right track though.
Fingers crossed and good luck mate

yes, i was thinking it was a little early.
but i keep them outside with no heating or lighting, so maybe the cooler nights have triggered early mating. Anyway will find out soon enough.

dont know, haven't measured for a while.
the male would be over 12ft and female over 14ft.
