Hi all shane here from shanesaussie_pythons just thougt id mention to those of yous that realy care about herps to remember the upcomeing breeding season is aproaching faster than you think.Last feeds are only 4 weeks away and if your like me and like your breeding stock to be medication free for at least 3 mounths priure to mateing.Nows the time to worm those adults that you think need it.So that there systems have a chance to aborb it in time. And you can make sure they are parrisite free before cooling begins.remember last feeds are useualy half way through march. And Keep them at active tempretures untill the end of march to give them a good chance to purge properly. And then begin to cool and dont be(an april fool) and that will give you and your reptiles the best chance of a trouble free secsesful breeding seaon.also work out what breeding projects you intend to try this year .And good luck. And we here at shanesaussie pythons would to wish all (COLD TEMPS & MANY EGGS TO ALL) REGARDSshane Heres a shot of some eggs from the 1999 breeding season to get yous motivated regards shane

Hey Shane,
Nice clutches,
Yeah the time of year is coming around really fast, it seems to be here even quicker because i am still finishing last season. Ive still got diamond eggs mid-incubation and my spotted clutch has just had its first shed!

Thats a bit earlier than I had planned for Shane. I was thinking ( Diamond Pythons) about last feed mid May, next feed mid Sept. I was going to slowly drop the temps and raise them again from March to October.
Am I miles out of whack?

Diamonds are always later anyway i thought... jmho..
Ok, PLEASE correct me if im wrong. Im very lucky in that i have Matt's expertise to help me along and i am going to sync my temps with his this year. I was just after a few tips from those who keep there animals outside. My live outside in a cover enclosed courtyard, but still outside... for Brumation, should i simply turn off their lights, maybe throw a blanket over to block out the natural light? turn the temps down to what matt tells me too, and then ignore them till its time to warm them back up... what do you guys do?
Angel
PS this is my first season with adults, on advixce i never cool juvis, so i have never cooled before, hence the questions. Also, this is the first year my babies are outside. Im not going to turn the heat right of... as vic winter is bloody freezing........
