I just can't help myself, I love my new Jungles Juvies and I want to share them with the whole world!!:
I also took some better pictures of my latest girl this morning, I love looking at photos of her and my male because it is a way I can really study their markings close up without the fear of loosing an eye. Which reminds me, if anyone has some handling tips that might help me to calm them down. I already handle them every day, but I've had Salem for two weeks now and I still haven't seen any improvement in his moods.
Here's my baby girl, Cleopatra.

Ooh very noice jungles ya got there!! Where did you get them from? I got my jungle Carnage 2 weeks ago, had his 2nd feed last night. I haven't handled him yet, for the first week he was in his click clack, i wanted to let him settle so i fed him in the click clack and was going to handle him on the weekend but decided to put him in his big enclosure to see how he'd handle it, he seems to like it and took his mouse easily last night so will be handled probably Friday and Saturday. I've gotten chicken a bit so i'm buying some gloves for the first couple of times until i get used to him striking at me (i don't wanna yank his fangs out) he seems fairly placid though, when we put him in his big enclosure, at first i thought he was dead, coz i took everything out of his click clack even his newspaper and he didn't move he stayed curled up even while i picked him up with the hook he stayed still but when we place him on his rock he got up and had a look and a strike at us. Try getting him out of his enclosure with a hook and then handling him out of the enclosure.

nice snake well done, the best tip to handle a jungle is that your going to get tagged so just dont worry about it, it is that quick that you will barely feel it. i am that use to it now that i dont even flinch, i dont think mine will ever settle down! but i will keep trying and if i see now improvement in a few months i wont bother, imo they are one of the nicest snakes to just watch cause they are so attractive.

lol, having lil jungles=love getting bites. i found that mine grew out of biting after say 7 months... but of course that depends on the snake, and a heap of other stuff. i try to handle mine at least twice a week (but not until three days after a feed), - i figured its worth getting the occasional 'nip' now while they are lil, compared to when they are full grown.... i havnt been bitten for ages now.... i also reckon that a really important thing is not to frighten the snake, coz that is when they will go you out of instinct, therefore it isn't uncommon for me to take a while to get them out of their enclosure (especially if they arent too willing)... dunno if that helps.. but that is some of the stuff i have discovered bout mine anyway!

here is a tip i found EXTREMELY helpful for me
it was to get tagged no gloves no protection
my 2 jungles have calmed down heaps since ive had them but everytime i want to handle them i expect to get tagged at least once
hopefully they will grow out of it
but then again some snakes never do

Salem has calmed down a little bit, he doesn't get into that strike postition so much anymore while being handled. But I worry about Cleopatra, the other day I wanted to move her off of the jungle vine into her hide cave so I could do maintenece, change water, pick poo out, etc. So I just touched her lightly so she would move away and she literally "shat herself", and couple of days after that I handled her and when I put her back I noticed that she had left a little trail on my lino. I don't mind the bites, I wear gloves (just so I won't pull away) when i handle them, with Salem i usually take the gloves off when i think he has calm down. But I get a little upset knowing that Cleopatra is basically terrified. I don't know whether to handle her more, or to leave her alone, I plan to use her for breeding and I definately don't want to take eggs from an adult sized bitey Cleopatra. What do you guys think: More handling - break her in. Or; Less Handling - just let her be.
By the way I got all my Jungles from Ultimate Reptile Suppliers.
Here's some Salem Pics as requested. and one of Salem and Cleopatra together.
