Python Bite

Hi all,
I was just wondering, say if a large python bit you hard, would you need to have it checked out by a GP? Could they possibly pass something nasty to you, bacteria maybe?

Cheers,
Timothy

yeah dude they can have some nasty bacteria on their teethies. not that you would need to get checked up by your gp (unless you needed stitches or it got infected) but you should deffinately give it a good clean preferably with a disenfectant. lol is this a hyperthetical question or have you been bitten?

cheers
Gary

Yeah just a hypothetical Gary, to see what damage they could possibly do (not saying it likely).
Thanks for the info

Any python no matter how large can leave bacteria on you, 99.99% of the time it will be fine.

But a large python if it got you in the right area could cause some physical damge. I think there are a few people who have had servered arteries from large scrubbies.

I was looking back at some posts this morning and remembered one from SAWOMA, about this very subject.

had my Mac juv out tonight crawling around, slid around my neck and liked the top of my ear, he opened his mouth and had a chew. Wasn't the bite that hurt but the way he started to constrict my ear. Ran the shower over my head and he released. He only got fed 2 fuzzy on saturday, must still be hungry..............little blighter.

My Maccie bit my lip once.... i really should have seen it coming. I know i know... 'don't let them near your face'.... but he was just so cute and wanted to kiss me goodnight... he just got a little too rough ... i learnt the hard way! But man you had to be there...

i got tagged by my 4ft costal the other day, pretty good one, bled for a bit. it thought my finger was the mouse and wrapped around it and my hand!!
Because im pregnant, i was a bit worried about the bacteria side of things so i asked my gp the next day if i had to do anything.
He said it would be fine, just to make sure i kept the bite marks clean.
Ive got some pics of the bite on my phone, cant be bothered uploading them now

Bites

If in doubt get a tetanus shot. Hurts like hell (the shot that is).

You would'nt want to lick the wound as it would probably be a bit nastier than the bite itself.

My son copped a skinny 5 foot Coastal that constricted. The other is a 8 foot Bredli
