python enclosure colour

Can you paint the inside of your enclosure any colour or do pythons prefer a specific colour? I built my own enclosure and I painted the inside light blue but now I'm wondering if there is a better option.

i don't have any paint on my python enclosures just back grounds
i don't know for shore but it could be bad if the paint had stuff
that your snake could get sick off

Been told to use Dulux -wet n dry for the inside backing on wood & m.d.f tanks... have sealed bottom of tanks with waterproofing membrane & undercoat..sorry forgotton name of it but got best info from Mitre10 here in S.A, I only have glass tanks but have had trouble getting a 4 ft high backing & dont really want to join up backings!

Thinking natural as possible with the colour...

Thanks for the tips. I'm an artist so I might do a rainforest look inside the enclosure one day. I just thought light blue would be good because browns stand out against blue (branches and Atherton Python)
