I'd be interested to hear of anyone with stories regarding the after-affects of being bitten by their
pythons that have kindly left their toothie pegs behind under the skin?....
The reason why I'm asking this is because I got hammered by my 7ft Diamond over a month
ago and her damn teeth are still embedded in my hand (this thread is also just an excuse to
see lots of pics with gore and blood, so please don't hold back) But are there any neat little
tricks of getting these little suckers out, especially when there embedded quite deep? And
please don't say with a needle...have you ever seen a grown man pass out at the site of one of
these

Sorry mate but....with a needle.
Or hopefully they become infected and then just squeeze!!
I havent had any infected so its always the needle a few days later. If you need to you could soak in warm water and this helps soften the skin.
I am a chippy so its no probs for me ,just another splinter.

I agree, go the sqeeze, I had one in my knuckle which I didn't know was there for a couple of days, then when I couldn't straighten my finger, I squeezed a bit and out she popped. Hubby also had some in his stomach (hahaha, funny story) and same thing, but a little needlework was required there.

Ok twist my arm. I have a female woma who is unpleasant at the best of times. We had a friend over one day a few weeks back and she stated she had never seen a woma. So hubby, being the hero, said "follow me to the snake room". I yelled from a distance "Don't get Goldie out, she's a real B%&*h!" ( I was putting away a coastal at the time so was a minute behind them) Now bear in mind we have 4 womas to choose from and the other 3 are complete teddy bears, but no, he wanted to get the biggest out - a man thing . Well I walk into the snake room to find him at Goldie's cage manipulating her out, I said, "she's gunna bite you, I can tell, she has that look in her eye..." (She is a good one for luring you in first, looking sweet and innocent). "No she won't, she just doesn't like you" he smurks. Well no sooner did the words come out of his mouth... WHACK! She grabs him a good one straight on his gut, leaving a nice amount of blood and a few teeth, which took the woose a few days to get out. Well, I laughed so hard i think it took me 20 minutes to stop the tears!! I then proceeded to take one of the more gentle womas out to show the lady, who also saw the funny side. Hubby survived his ordeal, however, pride may not quite be in tact. |

i used to have this little pet shop in south africa.
i had a16 foot burmeese python in our display cage . i had a young group of
kids from school doing a project on snakes and were all looking through the window at the giant
so i decided to show them how it eats.
i put a fozen rabbit in and it wasnt hungry, i moved the rabbit around but the snake wasnt interested. as i went to take the bunny out, the snake latched on my arm trying to pull me in but most of the teeth stayed behind.
for months after the teeth were still falling out, and i still see the little faces of the frightend kids running away to call the cops.
ha ha ha .
