i fed my juvenile stimmie today but after his feed he kept kinking himself up and then went for a swim in his water bowl is this normal? he has never done this before. i thought maybe his feed was to big but he put it away quite quickly has anyone herd of this before or is it normal

What exactly do you mean by kinking? Is he the only one in your collection? Do you have contact with other herp people or handle other snakes? Not trying to alarm you in any way, just want to know more details.

Sometime they will go in water after a big meal to reduce the pressure/weight from the meal.

yeah he is my first and only at the moment there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with him he finished his swim and went into his hide. but it was unusual behaviour for him, especially to do laps in his water bowl

My coastal sometimes goes for a splash in her waterbowl after she's had a feed.
I've only really noticed her doing it if she's just had a bigger meal than what she's used to (when I move her up a prey size)
It does look odd to watch, its also what made me decide she needs a bigger waterbowl hehe
