Question to Mac Owners - HELP!!!

Can anyone that owns maccies tell me if they have more than 1 do you keep them together or apart?
We have 2 maccies now and currently our new one is still in his little click clack but we want to put them together! I've heard that spotteds can turn cannabalistic towards smaller size snakes!! Has anyone else heard this or can you tell me if you have them together how do they cohabitate???
We'd like to know wether we have to get another enclosure for him?? They will eventually be a breeding pair!

Please shed some light on the situation!!!

I' ve asked this before, or something similar, and the majority of people said it's best to keep snakes seperated, and only pair them up for breeding.

Recommended keeping them seperate unless breeding, espeically if different sizes.

Also not the best thing to write in capitals as it indicates something is urgent and serious.

How big are they anyway.

Sorry didn't mean to cause anyone to panic! The male is only slightly smaller and they get along alright when we have them out together. We were just hoping to get away with the one tank for a while as we are running out of room in our house...
So has anyone KEPT them together and found they've been alright for a while? We aren't looking at this as a permanent setup just until they are both old enough to go in the big enclosure we have for them but right now it's just too big for them. But if they have to go in it then we'll do it but just wanted people's thoughts first!
Thanks

Would like to get some opinions of anyone who keeps theirs together! If you want to PM that'd be great!!!
I just want to get a fair sided view and if the consensus is snakes apart... then I'm going to have to spend some MORE money!! OOOHHH I love owning snakes!!! Cause I love spending money on them

I personally see no problems housing snakes of the same size and type together , and over the years have seen plenty of snakes live together with out any problems what so ever .
I will be housing my childrens together once they go to the bigger cage , my diamond trio will be together.
Feeding time you may need to keep a watch on them , but i think they will be fine if the same size .
make sure there are plenty of hides so they will have a few spots of their own .

As I said previously the male is only slightly smaller and I would definately seperate them at feed time as I've heard some horror stories when you don't, especially with larger snakes!
Our 2 jungles are happy together as well, although they tend to huddle together and be anti-social but they are still quite happy together!
It just scared me when I heard about the spotteds being prone to cannabolism??? Not sure if anyone else has heard this! There really isn't a great deal of difference in the size to the point where we have to look twice to work out who's who when we have them out together!
The female is the larger of the 2 and she is very quite and non-agressive anyway so there wouldn't be any problems from her and we have plenty of hides we can offer them!
I just don't want to keep him in a click clack until they are big enough for the bigger enclosure and there is still plenty of room in Sassi's enclosure now that they wouldn't be on top of one another!
Thank you for your help!

Yeah I will definately keep all that in mind and as I said it's only until they are both big enough to go in their (seperate) permanent enclosure!!!

p.s. Tatelina.... your avatar scares the crap out of me
(sorry I'm arachnaphobic)

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! For all your advice and input! It's so great having access to so many different opinions and other people's experience because not one of us can know absolutely everything about every reptile! So thanks!!!

mrsshep - I purchased a 6yr old pair of spotteds from a guy a couple of yrs ago. They were always housed in the same enclosure when he had them, with no probs but never bred successfully. I continued to house them in the same enclosure and seperated them when feeding. They still never bred. I have seperated them over the last yr and will give them another go at breeding this season. As far as problems go with them being together, I didn't have a drama but they were the same size and as I said were always housed together.

So it sounds like snakes housed together may not be so successful at breeding but will happily live together!!
Thanks for that Mystery!!
