Had tigers years ago, but wouldn't have another... not sure if they were agro or just bad shots LOL Besides, I lived for years in a Melb suburb thats pretty much the tiger capitol of Oz. Only ven I have nowdays is a mysoginistic little rear-fang but have always wanted an RBB, so trying to convince shewhomustbeobeyed that they're laid back enough to keep (hence this post!). She has this theory that my heart wont stand up to a bite nowdays. Mind you there's some truth to that theory after the years of abusing the system!

Just saw your post Jason. IMO your a complete idiot if you dont go to Hospital... A lot of the more experienced herps wait to see if they get symptoms....... but thats also why you hear about them in the newspaper after they almost die....
Generally speaking a RBBS wont kill you straight away, but it can cause some long term damage to your organs..... So if your smart, you will go to hospital if you get bitten by one!

Ive mentioned this before. Friends red bloods cell count dropped by 1/3 in the days following a red belly bite (30cm)
Yous hould bandage it and seek advice. A lot of more experienced herps wait to see the symptoms as Brodie said but they also feel embarrased about fronting up at the hospital if its not serious.
Its worthwhile in case of other complications and especially for us older people.
