the roughy's have long teeth and from what we were told like to bite noses. they seem to be a bit finiky with eating too. sometimes takes a bit of offering to get them to take food.

i dont think i would mind nor other herp people would mind either if they had to play around a bit with there food if they could keep one.

What's the survival advantage of having rough scales??? Are the trees abnormally smooth or something in their habitat?

if you're referring to our post, we can only export to other states, not countries. imagine being able to send rsp's all over australia, though, there wouldn't be enough to supply demand. not sure on laws about exporting to other countries- from what we've been told, you have to be a zoo or park, etc.

Just curious womas, are you guys going to look into collecting rough scales?

I personally wouldn't pay $5000 for one but if i had a choice i'd prefer a roughy than a chondro for the money.....

I don't think they will ever be on the list mate. If they were all the perth takers would be chartering choppers and getting into the gorges where they are found. As for them being for sale i don't think they will be available to private herpers for ages due to the demand by parks, zoos etc. So saying i will have some oneday, just have to hire that chopper. Up, up and away.................................
