Removing slugs

Just wondering about different techniques for removing slugs. I had a clutch of scrubbies last year and for experiment sake tried removing slugs and mouldy eggs at different stages of incubation by carefully peeling them off the clutch. Occasionly when peeling off the slugs some of the skin of the good eggs would be damaged, all good eggs including the ones with damage managed to hatch with healthy hatchlings. Anyone tried anything similar, would be good to hear success stories and horror stories.

G'day good looking,

I've used a scalpel in the past. Cut as much of the dud away as possible. You can also drain them using a large gauge needle, but I found the scalpel method works best.
