I have been to the block in the middle of the night to rescue an injured bird. nearly everyone came out. They were great and I had no problems. Lived round there for a little while and Roger Rogerson shot Warren Lanfranchi dead just around the corner. Redfern is also where the cheapest heroin in sydney became available. Good way to bust up a community. You get good and bad everywhere. Probably have some good people on this list as well.
Featherdale. could be worthwhile. If you look scarey i can pretend to be a normal person and not talk to you or vice versa I guess.

Hey Paddy (or anyone who has been to featherdale wildlife park),
Is the reptile section at featherdale very big? I've been looking for some volunteer work and featherdale would be the closest and easiest to travel to for me.
Cheers.

reptile parks

at taronga they did the presentation with a nice diamond python and an even nicer large olive python.
at alice springs they did the talk with a blue tongue, bearded dragon, thorny devil and another beautiful large olive.
at ayres rock we got to see the woma and stimsons.
featherdale didn't do a presentation while we were there but the reptile section was excellent in my opinion. it would be nearly as big as the australian reptile section at taronga, 15 or so enclosures and a few outside.
if you live nearby you should go and check it out anyway, that way you can see for yourdelf if you would like to do volunteer work there or not.
i am so envious of you guys that live close enoguh to these wildlife parks to be able to do volunteer work, i would really like to get into work like that but sadly we have not got anything decent around here!
oh well, i will just have to keep increasing my collection and have my own wildlife park. (i'm sure my wife will love that!)

Hehehe lucky you. I can't wait to get back for the warmth!

Have you ever been to Snakes Down Under?
I think it is somewhere like Bowen or near that 1770 place somewhere.
I hear its okay lol, not great tho.
