got a call from a mate, he was freaking out about a snake that was eating a frog in the downpipe. He wanted it gone (snake phobia) i got there and found this GTS with a frog to it's hind legs in its mouth.
When i grabbed the snake it spat the frog (as you would expect) and he hopped away a little shaken and bloodied up for his effort.
I was explaining to my mate that it was harmless, and they were in awe at how pretty it was. So the rescue ended up being a catch and release back to the gutter. They were pretty happy with their new wild boarder.
Sadly i didn't get photos of the frog in its mouth, but here are a couple of it just before i released it.
Cheers
Dave

Beautiful looking snake. Looks to be in top condition for a wild snake too.

Why did you grab the snake? Couldnt you just wait till it finished its meal then left of its own accord? I gues in hindsight its easy to say.
Bit of fun to brighten up your day anyway.

Bit of fun to brighten up your day anyway. | No hindsight involved consequence, It was a case of get rid of it now or i will ! ( the property owner that is) so it was either let the snake finish its last meal or let it live to eat another day. Pretty easy choice i thought.
It wasn't until i had the snake that they listened to reason.
Cheers
Dave

His work looks at a similarity in the molecular structure to other venoms. It doesnt make it venomous as genetic similarities do not make a cabbage a tiger.

Beautiful looking GTS!
Would have been an interesting sight seeing frog legs sticking out of its mouth!
