Scared Mum

Yeh right hehe, they all just want an excuse to hold them cos theyre so darn cute!

When I first got him, she wouldnt even go near the tub, shes not a snake person at all. But it then progressed into her taking sneak peeks at him in his tub while she thought I wasnt watching, to touching his back when I had him out, and she now has the guts to hold him lol. Even though she freaked out a bit when he was 'looking' at her, she didnt like that

It's good when ones mother can become comfortable with at least holding the snake if need be. When i was living in the caravan and annex at the bottom of my mothers property my mother called me one day. She told me that my escaped snake {coastal carpet} was hanging off the door of my cupboard, i was nowhere near home so asked her if she could pick it up and put it back in it's enclosure for me. Sure enough she did.
Nice looking snake by the way

Tell your mum "good on you." I used to scare my mother too when I was younger, but with the snakes I used to catch. Great looking snake by the way...

I wouldnt be suprised if she ended up saying yes steve hehe. But now she's saying its "just for now" lol, "im not going near him when he's bigger" and "make sure you only handle him with two people or he'll strangle you"

My daughter was 17 when I took her to pick up her atherton I had a lot of worries over it and whenever she asked for my help in holding her as she cleaned her enclosure I would sit with my hands cupped and keep; real real still trying not to shake!! Of course now I have my own coastal and pick her up out of a box hide and her rock hide no worries!!
