Scented feeding

Hi, i am new to herps and my Diamond python was born 6 weeks ago and has shed once 3 weeks ago but has still not eaten. I know this is not overly long, but after reading different posts, there is a mixed feeling as to when and how these should be fed. I am considering a pilcher secented pinky as i have tried a pinky once a week since shedding, but has not been at all interested (usual 20 mins of trying to bait, leaving in overnight etc.). To stress, i am not worried, and it is very active, just would be more at ease if he/she would eat. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, also any hints on how to scent the pinky. Thanks
