Selecting The Ultimate Jungle

Today I have purchased another female jungle python, for the purpose of breeding.
I have two females now, that my male jungle will hopefuly mate with.
when picking out the jungles, I had the choice of many snakes to choose from, and although I feel I have made the best choice, it creates an argument.
Which is more important - Brilliant yellow tones and not so great black
- solid jet black bands with not so good yellow tones

obviously finding a specimen with both would be awesome but unfortunately everyone wants those. any advice would be great.
Here is our latest addition- Cleopatra

a good jungle is what you find attractive, dont buy one just coz you think other people will like it, choose what you want

Good call Hornet. Buy what YOU like. YOU are the one who gets to admire it every time you walk into your collection.

I tend to go more for marking variation than dominant colour type.

They seem to be a bit of a gamble. At such a young age it is hard to tell their adult appearance. I have seen many an ugly duckling regarding the mighty JUNGLE.

No Junglemad this is not Mark Sim. Mark would be a pretty funny name for a girl don't you think!!?? lol

Thanks for the advice Hornet, we did buy the one we thought looked nice, but we also took into consideration that we want to breed jungles, so when we picked out our first male and female, we saw the male and decided we wanted him, and then we saw a female we liked but she was from the same clutch as the male we'd picked so we chose another female. Unfortunately the one we picked, her head markings aren't as nice as Salem's (male we bought) sister. But we made the sacrifice for unrelated breeding couple, nothing like Tasmanian style Jungles!! lol. Although a two headed freak would attract alot of buyers!!
Here's some picks of the first pair we bought.
1st pic is Salem (male)
2nd pic is Voodoo (female)

Voodoo's colour doesn't look as good as normal because she gave her self a nasty burn on her heatmat, and we put some "Wound healing aid)" which made her look all oily.

i reckon the yellow is better when brighter because seriously black....is black but the yellow is what people notice in these fantastic snakes
