Hi guys, have just got my heat mat and thermostat in the mail tonight and am ready to start setting up my enclosure for a stimmie I am purchasing from affinis. A question reguarding the heat mat. I noticed that the mat comes with rubber spaces and it is recommended that they are used but I'm sure I've heard others say that it is best not to have a space between the bottom of enclosure and the mat so that the bottom of enclosure can heat properly. Any advise on this one?
Also, When I drill the hole for the thermostat probe am I best to have the probe right on the floor of the enclosure ontop of the substrate, or have it off the bottom a bit? Would appreciate any feedback

i think most ppl stick the probe to the heat mat under the tank or mat !
