SHE ATE!!

I know, I'm sorry, I know this is annoying, but I'm so happy I just have to tell you, my female maccy ate!! She is so underweight, and wasn't eating, but now she has eaten and I can stop worrying

I'm just so happy

Thanks for letting me share this.

Unless she ate too much, or too little, or the mouse was too hot, or too cold, or maybe bacteria, or...........

Hehehe, sorry, couldn't resist What I meant to say was..... Congratulations

LOL @ afrofish YOu know me well.

Thanks for the congrats everyone. It's just such a relief.

Maximus, she is nearly 3 years old. I've had a friend that had a non-eating hatchie, and the breeder had only fed it on skinks . She bought some skinks to rub on the mice, and now it eats. I don't know if that is your problem? WAs she feeding on warm bloods before?

Thanks again everyone.

Thanks Instar

I've got a double victory. I was able to trick my scrubbie hatchie into eating, by holding the pinkie (trying a pinkie because I'm desperate, won't eat anything else) in a position, so when he strikes at it, the whole thing is in his mouth, and it is too much hassle for him to spit it out (what he normally does). I did this and while he was pondering what to do, I covered his tank with a towel and quickly exited the room. Four hours later I checked, and NO PINKIE!! Usually, I'll check the next morning and whatever I fed him is lying on the floor. So, I'll do this for a couple of days, and hope he will then move onto something bigger.

I'm very happy Thanks to all that helped me with the problem with their great advice.

Nome - chuck a live mouse in there, he will destroy it. Scrubs can be a bit tempremental...I had mine on thawed, and now they have gone off it...
