get him in a bath of luke warm water and then dampen a towel and let him scribble through it a bit of assisting may be necessary but you'll get that shed off just dont force it. and make sure you get all the shed.

he's almost finished... will take him out and wipe him down once he's done... in lots of pieces... he stopped to have a drink, a huge poo and wee lol and went through the water himself so i decided to let him finish it off himself...

ok just check that he got it all off, tip of the tail and the eye scales are most important. then yeah you may jsut have to up the humidity when next he comes round to shed. though i thought townsville was dam humid already . i find if you give them a soak when their eyes have come clear again after going cloudy then that is all they need to get through the shed. works for me anyway

This little bugger kept me up till 7am this morning!!! good thing i dont have uni till two... He was so playfull after his shed so photos are a bit dodgy because he wudn't sit still!! but heres some photos anyways... I could see he was having trouble and right before i took him out to put him in some water, he went to his own water bowl for a drink and dip... Then after he'd shed i had to clean out his tank while he played on my bed... I was so annoyed, the only time he sat still for me to take photos was when i was trying to lay the newspaper down the bottom of his cage.!!!.. cause i'm short i couldn't reach very well cause you have to enter by the top... The whole time he just sat their with his head in the air watching me! i swear inside he was laughing at me lol...

It was weird, i've never let him out of the cage if i wasn't handeling him but he was so gentle last nite that i tried it and he just played over his toys that i took out of the cage for him while i cleaned out his enclosure!! and that was a good half an hour!

My childrens used to shed in pieces, I just used to wait till she was finished, and then pull her out and slowly pull the left over bits while she was slithering around the place

Yeah after he was done i took him out and wiped him over with some wet paper towel. It was just unusual cause in the three years i've had him all his sheds have been in one piece. As i said before though we've only just moved to Townsville and atm its really dry up here so i think that would be the cause of it. Im in a bit of a sticky situation to because im not allowed to let him have too much moisture in his cage either cause the vet said he needs to stay considerably dry if i dont want his respiratory problem to come back so hopefully he adapts to this weather and sheds a bit better next time...
