should i be feeding my carpet more?

she is about 1.5m long and about 2.5years old, i feed her one medium sized rat every 2 weeks, i dont know exactly how much it weighs. I'm hoping to breed with her this year, should i feed her more before i start cooling her?

if you want to breed her i would be feeding her more. i would go to large rats and maby two every feed. shes not a bad size but i would want her bigger then 5ft for breeding, i would want 7ft.
if she wasnt going to breed this season i would say just bump her upto a large rat. as long as she is healthy size and weight then shes fine.

I'd make it weekly personally. One a week.

2 rats every week would run the risk of an obese snake. If you feed her that much, you might end up with more of a snake than you bargained for. I tried "power feeding" a skinny female I bought several years ago and she grew from 5 feet long and about an inch wide to 11 feet long and as thick as my thigh within 2 years. Her first cluch was 28 eggs, all of which survived. One a week should do her well. As she grows, switch her from medium to large rats. If she gets really big, feed her full size rabbits (that's an impressive sight)

i would go either 1 large rat a week or two every to weeks in one sitting. or 2 large every 10 days would be fine. remember you'll only be feeding for about another 3 months if your breeding thsi season! thats not very long only about 12-14 large rats to go!

Young lean rats are better food than old fat ones. 1 medium rat (around 100g) every 5 days is what I would do.
