This is just about what kind food and how big the food items are (in comparasin to the snake) do people feed their snakes.
I heard that its good to give snakes (not baby snakes though) reasonably larger food items than normal just to 'stretch' their jaw and muscles every now and then.
I went and got some xl rats and fed them to my coastals 2 days back and although the rats were quite large the snakes got em down no problems and are resting up well after their big meal. I usually give them large rats but I thought i'd give the next size up a try.
I was wondering whats other people think of this. Is it ok to give snakes quie a large meal in comparasin to what they 'should' be eating. Here's a pic to help u see what i mean. Notice food item is quite large... but snake isnt that small either... | | |
