Question Skydiving Diamond Python

My baby diamond likes to hide in the top part of the cage at night time. There is some clip things at the top which he wedges himself into but i worry about him because he has fallen twice. One time he fell in his water bowl and didnt come up i have moved the bowl now so he will not fall into it again. There are branches in the cage but he dosent hold on to them to support himself. What should i do? Do you think i should put a hide box in the top of my cage?

Perhaps a cape and goggles?

Nah, seriously time for a few more branches till it can balance.

Maybe lol i put a platform in as well but now he goes to the other side of the cage and hides up there. I think he just wants to be a super hero. So i got some coat hangers and put them up there near him for a ladder so he dont fall. so far so good

My SW Carpet is sorta the same, he has branches up to the top and he sits on the edge of the enclosure....Even when handling him, he doesnt seem to "hold on" very tight and has almost fallen of me before...Mine is about 14 mths old now, and i think its just a thing that he'll prolly grow out of, and learn to hold on tighter when he is a lil older...

Regards...
Ash...

In smaller cages I use wooden bird ladders from the pet shop, they come in a range of sizes from small to extra large and they are great jungle gyms for them, plus you don't need to worry about nasties getting in your cage from branches.

What are your night time temperatures? Could it be too cold and be that he is trying to get higher where it's warmer...?

Our little diamonds are like that to. Pretty to look at but were at the end of the que when co-ordination was being handed out!!!
Just like a little toddler learning to walk.

My hatchie diamonds are the most unco snakes i have ever owned , they always falling off their perches , once had a mac that would fall to the ground all day long ( only had a very short fall ) .

I would put a hide box up there for him .
