Small Eyed Snake Pics

Here are a few pics I took last night, common little snakes that pack a punch if your silly or unlucky, but great little snakes to photograph, their tongue never stops....

Venom of these snakes can cause anything from mild stinging to death of various causes such as renal failure, the venom may take weeks to effect the victim.

Great photos Jason. My sister was unfortunate enough to have one climb up her leg when we were frogging on the Gold Coast and I lied and told her it was non-venomous to help her calm down (and so we could keep frogging) ... but I did reveal the truth to her once we got back to the car and she wasnt very impressed!

Greta pics Jason. Like the 6th one. Beautiful snakes.
The small eyeds i have seen here in southern Victoria have been dark on top and side.

I have heard of that , but once you see the eyes its pretty easy to tell them apart ..

Only the one Jason ?
most times I seen them there are a few in the same spot .
