small mac with big mac

this is a yearling mac im trying to breed this year, sofar hes been mating away like crazy (with 3 girls) but time will tell if hes to small to have babies.

Hahahaha, sounds like he had a few too many drinks when he met her...

Will be interesting to see how they go...have you had success with yearlings before?

The size of the female is the bigger issue, Male doesn't contribute anywhere near the energy requirements (excluding flowers, listening to her needs, attention.....) If he is mating I'd lean toward good chances. Yearling female would be a different story though.

Seperate them. The big female will see the smaller one as a nice meal and you will end up with one snake. ALL snakes are canabalistic if givin the oportunity, which you are doing.

I would not think macs would breed at 1 yr of age. I am going to wait until mine are 3 just to be safe. I am in no rush.

Yeah, I think the age of the male has much less impact than the age of the females which are obviously breeding age...

Make sure you keep us up to date, will be interesting to know how they go...

Maybe you should have called the thread Son of Mac with big Mac? LOL!!!!

Good luck with it but perhaps it may be a good idea to remove it after mating ceases.
