The problem is that in order to do this and gain any conclusive evidence.
Each species would have to be analysed with a significant sample size... then the very fact that each animal is not housed the same and therefore this would void any data.
Scientific data in this case relies on congruent arrangements etc with the only difference being purely of the animal
But on that, i have a 5 1/2ft red head female which is probably the most snappy of all my animals. Damn she just read this i am in trouble again.
Cheers

my male has bitten me once but it was my fault i woke him up by putting my hand ofer his head (big mistake) but never bit since he is the most placid and kind snake iv ever seen.
my female well thats a different story!! i love her to death but aparantly she feels the same about my index finger because shes always try to french kiss the thing lol.
im working on calming her down.

*note- From the species I kept in the UK. |

Both my boys are good... the spotted is snappy only very occasionaly, and the Water is only snappy around feed time. If he's hungry he doesn't try to hide it... therefore i have been not only latched onto but also constricted! My fault entirely but for a little guy he's strong... so strong!
So here we go:
Water python, male, only snappy at food time (and even then it's only if i've left it awhile due to the last feed being bigger than usual kinda thing... his metabilism is faster than i expect).
Spotted python, male, periodically snappy depending on when he has PMS (can be more temperamental then a human woman sometimes (i can say that i'm female)... usually he's FANTASTIC though!) With Spotty's they're just conscious about their size like most males i guess....

It would be nice to maybe do one species at a time and only break it down into maybe hatchy juvenile adult and gender...
But i see that we wouldn,t get a big enough sample....
This would need to be carried out professionally...
But what we do seem to have is a perception that females are more moody.......
I must be careful i don,t want to incur the wrath of any female members......
