Snake Handler bitten

Just heard on the radio that a "Snake Handler" in country Victoria was bitten on the toe (!!??!) by a Mulga.
The bite position impiles inadequate footware but I don't know the full circumstances.

Yes, if he wasn't wearing adequate protective clothing he's a fool but it isnt something to laugh at. Being bitten by a venemous snake isnt a laughing matter. Unless you come from the NT and got bitten 9 times while you were pissed. Thats not funny either really.
