Got to say all the coastals I've seen round here are somewhat darker than that, with more chocolate in them as opposed to the tan and sandy colour......but the colouration is so variable its not funny.

they can varify where its from.
i wasnt that long ago that they didnt differentiate between the different sub species they where all morelia spilota spilota or morelia spilota variegata |

I agree with others that it looks very similar to Proserpine locale carpet pythons that I have seen. However, considering the history of the snake is unknown, it's probably best if you don't refer to it as a "Proserpine" in case it isn't.
