Snakes not eating

For those of you who worry when your snake refuses food for a meal or 2 - a couple of my pythons have shown that theres no need to stress out if no obvious health issues.

Most of mine eat like pigs and never have issues, except for 2 inparticular. Rather than worry that they don't eat, I thought I'd let nature take it's course and they'd eat when ready. Last night offered both food (about a month since last offered).
As a result -
Stimson ate first small rats since April
BHP ate first meal since October last year!

Both wild caught and almost like they just eat enough to survive and are happy with that.

Yeah some of my pythons only get fed every 6 weeks and never lose condition.I like to feed them according to the individual animal ,i dont have any set routine as this is how they feed in the wild.

Still musta been a big relief when they ate glacey. Its a good message not to stree too much though when they're not feeding.

Good onya mate, but there's a big difference between WC & CB animals and this, while it works for you with these animals might not work for another keeper. Not knocking you in any way mate, just giving my opinion

Agreed - I'd be more concerned if my CB ones didn't eat for an extended period.

Have you cleaned out the wild caught animals,(parasites), if not this maybe why they feed so rarely, and if not done they will eventually more than likely die. Worming them will only remove the nematodes not the bacterial parasites, they will also need a dose of Metronidazole benoate,(Flagyl S suspension), at 1ml per kg.
